Gretta S. of Barefoot Boutique purchased a variety of different Plaques. What she is doing with them is amazing. She writes,
"I studied metalsmithing in college and have had training in the traditional crafts of metal fabrication. I was introduced to Precious Metal Clay in 2009 and have been delighted with the accessibility of the material and how I can use the PMC to create projects without the expensive traditional metalsmithing tools and appliances. I make these plaque signs with Copper PMC, Polymer Clay, and the wood plaques from Al at Parch-Mint." The signs can be custom ordered from her Etsy Shop. |

Kimberly W. of Kylee Inspired Crafts is a very creative crafter. She writes, "My business is solely about bringing comfort and love to your home. My shop is filled with home decor creations that are inspired by family, love, and my daughter, Kylee Grace. I have always enjoyed creating. However, I never had much time to do so while I was in college getting my degree in Psychology and working. When my daughter was born, I became a stay-at-home mom. During Kylee's naps, I began to fill my down time with crafting and developed a true love for it. On my daughter's first birthday, I made almost all of the decor for the party, and that is when I realized, this is something I want to do. I opened my shop in November 2012 and have been having loads of fun ever since! My goal is to bring you beautiful and unique home decor items. I am a big believer that how you decorate your home can influence your daily lives." Kimberly can be reached through her Etsy Store. |

She also has a page on Facebook called, "Sending An Angel". "I have placed several orders from Parch-Mint. I create ACEO's 3.5 x 2.5 Shelf Sitter Blocks , 5x5 Shelf Sitter Blocks and also 2x2 magnets. I love the fine craftsmanship that Al delivers. That is what keeps me continually coming back for more. Andrea W. purchased 5.5" x 10" Plaques with holes for "Bride", "Groom" and Reserved" signs for her wedding in Mexico.
"I painted a few coats of ivory satin latex paint, then a few coats of gold acrylic on the edges. To make the letters look uniform on the reserved signs, I made a pattern that I traced in pencil over the ivory color. To make the pattern, I bought a package of cursive stencil letters at Michael's craft store, cut the letters out, then taped them in line over sturdy paper, then cut out the word for tracing. I used a very thin paint brush to fill in the letters with black acrylic paint (Michael's has an extensive brush section). I think I sprayed a Martha Stewart satin finish over the entire plaque, just to give it a uniform finish. The ivory ribbon was purchased at Michael's as well. Lastly I glued a piece of cream colored felt on the back of the plaques to make them look professional." |
